Ok so this weekend I have an opportunity to maybe hunt the pup in some flooded timber. I don’t have a dog stand for a tree, but I do have the bottom part of my climber stand that I will use for him to sit on. I don’t see how it wouldn’t work it’s just him on it. It has the cleats at the bottom and the cable for the top and imp going to add a ratchet for extra support.

Should work good. Don't mean to hijack but I recently was able to hunt near some flooded trees and am in need of some sort of stand for Sadie. What brands are the best that hold up to brackish water?

Anything aluminum or that has a good paint job should last I would think. I don’t have a stand that’s why I’m using my tree stand bottom

It will work fine. I welded me one up years ago w/ a lil ramp on it covered it w/ T 111 and it's probably 8-9 yrs old, but that climber bottom will do. tye it to a tree/post at the house and let um sit on it so they are used to it flexing/moving.
