Have you checked the Boykin Spaniel Society for breeders with litters? That is how I got mine, they put me in touch with a registered breeder with pups available. Good luck.

Don't give up, find a breeder that you are interested in that has pups or pups on the way. Ask the breeder to please call you if something changes and the original purchaser is not able to pick up or take delivery of their dog. Things happen all the time in people's lives, divorce, loss of job and such where they are not able to take a dog.

Jayhawk, Boykins shed much less than a lab and are just easier around the house/camp. They are also much more heat tolerant, but less cold hardy. They are also no where near the duck dog that a lab is but if you are not hunting in very cold water or running a guide service the Boykin does fine.

Call John Cameron at 205 455 2268, Aliceville, Ala or email him at Cameronquailpreserve.com. They usually have a herd of Boykins retrieving quail and may have some pups.

got my male boykin from a kennel named draco kennels in Kentucky. they flew him to me in Houston. I have nothing but great things to say about them. they were extremely helpful and worked with me through everything and they were pretty reasonable on there prices. hes been a great dog so far. hes 11 months now and is doing excellent. just retrieved a double banded red head for me this weekend.
