 1954 Excel F4 with a Mud Buddy Black Death 5500
Got my new boat and mud motor and got the #'s. Its a 1954 Excel F4 with a Mud Buddy Black Death 5500. Me, and 2 other ppl, 2 batteries, and 6 gal of gas and was runnin 25(deep water) to 27 (shallow water). By myself I was Runnin 29.6 in deep water that was slightly rough. Speeds were with a garmin etrek vista gps. Love The Rig yall!!

How do you like the motor so far? I have one on order that I'm planning on putting on a GT 1750HD and I'd just like to know what your thoughts are on the engine?

Be careful with the tie-down hooks on the rear of the boat. They tend to bend easy. I fabricated some strong ones to put bold on the rear of mine onto the kik plate.

I have almost the same set up. I am runnin an 1854 with a 4500BD. Where did you get that trolling motor mount? What size trolling motor and what kind do you use?
