i got a 27 pd and was wondering if a 17 x 48 wiil work well or get 18 ft. i9 will have two people in i withe the ocational third. o yey ima a big boy so lot of wait in back.

I got a 1748, I wish i would have went wit the extra 12"

Had a 1748 and now an 1848. The 18' seems to carry the same load noticeably better.

I agree with the above two posters. The only reason to get a 17' boat is if an 18 footer won't fit in your garage.

in dat case I'd park it outside..... if I was gonna rig up another 27 hp powered rig it would be 2038 like my old skiff. dat rig ran 26~27 all day long and 28 on a good day..... even stepped 900 lbs. of crawfish, me, a helper, and all da misc. bullshit and pushed it 18 mph.

I had a 1836 skiff wit a 27 and got those same numbers all day long also.

I had a J16 Carolina Skiff wit a 27PD and it did 28 wit just me but add a load and it died.
