Post Re: Gator-Tail vs. Pro drive
Products spoke for themselves at the Wallisville run, i think i counted 3-4 stuck prodrives at one time and coe was doing circles around them.....Pro-drives are for crap on a hard sandy bottom, i cranked on one for about an hour before it finally came out, you can have them glorified outboards

Post Re: Gator-Tail vs. Pro drive
I am partial to PD. No, I am addicted to PD.

With that said, to try and add my $0.02 I am going to discuss some more unlikely situations that I have found myself in.

If wanting to do something like shrimping, GTR would probably be more beneficial. If wanting/having to truly dig out of a spot, FPR definitely worth the consideration.

I have driven up cuts on shallow sandy bottoms, running over small cypress trees all the way in, just pushing them over by riding up with the bow...problem was on the way out, they were so thick, they blocked me in by building a "wall" of trees against the transom. After a little throttling, the FPR shot the trees out the side of the boat, cutting them clean off below the waterline. They were roughly 4 feet high and 2-4 inches in diameter at the point of contact with the prop.

See below for what you can expect from FPR. I Helped a fella out last weekend with a spot behind his house...If you look, you can see how much was cut down by using the topsoil pile in the latter pics and the crooked tree in the first couple for comparisons.

Of course, if you wait long enough, rumor has it MB will have something to offer too... :?:
but that is a whole different post that you can read if you'd like.

As for now, take a good long run in both the GTR and PDl if the option presents itself and as others have said, regardless of choice, you will have a blast!

Whatever DDM, just go back to your own little world and converse with all those voices in your head.

PS, your not the only one who thinks I could be a doucebag........................

.................................... but there is better then 50/50 chance that those thought processes could be wrong and I in fact am not.....................................................

........................sorry that is not the case in your situation............................................

.........its a well documented fact your are one :D :D

Sorry could not help myself on that one,
