Took the new rig out today for the first time. Three guys in the boat with fishing gear and an ice chest. Boat ran great, smooth at low RPM's and got up and going pretty quickly. Averaged 28mph in 10-20 feet deep water. Looking forward to getting back out soon.

I know it's no excuse but I actually had it on all day but just before trailering I asked my friend to take a couple pics of the boat while moving so I made a quick loop out in front of the ramp. Thanks though, like I said I know it's no excuse to not have them on no matter what.

That might be the same setup I buy; except for an outboard since I'd be doing al;ot of fishing from it too...

I am running a grizzly 1754 with a 35 MB sport.

Very similar to your 1860, This is what I did to my bench seat in the back......I couldn't tilt the motor much because the handle hit the seat.

The split bench was also a great place to put my switch panel.

I like what you did with the bench but with a floating handle how did it affect how much you could tilt your motor? If I raise my motor all the way up to the stops I just lift the handle.

I guess my post was misunderstood, what I mean is.

When running, I couldn't push down on the handle as far as I wanted to because it would hit the bench seat. the floating handle worked great because I can lift the handle while running to a more comfortable position.....just couldn't tilt the motor up as much be just pushing down on handle.

One question, I notice a grab bar on your boat.......can I ask where you got it? I have been looking for one, just can't find a style I like.

Okay now I understand what you meant and I agree that gives you a great advantage to be able to push down and raise your motor quickly. Might be something I look into changing in the future. I bought my hull used from a guy and the grab bar came with it, I believe he fabbed it himself or had someone do it for him but either way I really like it and like how it can be put in place and removed quickly and easily.
