 Which motor for a 20 48 Jon boat? New to the forum and mud motors. I would like to get a nice motor now for my 20 48 tracker Jon boat. I will get a new mud boat later. How big will I need and what brands have reverse? I want a surface drive. Thanks for the help and great site.

do you want a powerfull reverse or a reverse like a outboard

Re: Which motor for a 20 48 Jon boat? There are only two brands with reverse Gator tail and Pro Drive. I would buy the biggest you can afford. If you want you can mod any motor to get more performance out of it.

if you get a gtr get the reverse plate
