 console setup
I finally broke down and bought a new PD 36 with hydro steering. It should be here in the next day or 2 and just wanted to get some input from guys with steering on how your consoles are setup. pics would be great!

 Re: console setup
I just added a console to mine about 2 months ago. Its a night and day difference for me. I can see how it may not perform as easy in certain situations, but its the situations that I really don't see the need to put myself in anymore. The boat handles much better now since I have moved the weight forward. You will enjoy it. Congrats on the new rig. Here is a link to some pics. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1786

 Re: console setup
Hydraulic steering kit = 699 throtte = 80 cable = 30 Gator Tail kit = 550 (This kit includes wiringharness switches keys master cylinder steering linkage block and tube along with a few other things I am forgetting.)
Due to the fact that i am a little intoxicated I may be missing something, but I think that was all. Of course you will need a cosole to be built. THose prices change from console to console, just figure in about 500 as a good number.
So you are looking in the range of 1800 - 1900 bucks. The rigging is easy but its rediculously time consuming. If you really want to save money rig it yourself, but if you have a few extra dollors in the budget its well worth paying the money for installation.

 Re: console setup
To be honest with ya, I threw around the idea of steering but I know once I spend the cash and do it I will regret it. I'll just drive Paul's drunk ass around and get my fix
