 stainless exhaust ?
ok fellas let me get yall take on this...
I am about to start fabing my stainless exhaust. I know it is a lot easier to buy one from EVT but they are just a little out of my price range. I am a fabricatior by trade and know how to tig. So i am about to order me some stainless tube and will be getting my machine shop to mill the flanges. i am running a 35 gtr on a 1754 gtb and my first area to watch is the clutch cover.
this must have come up before and will most likely be a repeat thread... but any suggestions would help...

 Re: stainless exhaust ?
I am betting that by the time you get your materials and purchase time on a mandrel bender you will decide that you have not saved enough to make it worth it.
Unless you just enjoy doing that sort of thing and you want to do it for a project.

 Re: stainless exhaust ?
Are you ordering pre-bent pipe?
If not do you have access to a mandrel bender?
That is where the cost is going to come into play. I hope you can save a bunch of $$ and you very well may. I was just giving my .02

 Re: stainless exhaust ?
Mandrel bender is a plus, the first one I made I bent the pipe with a hyd pipe bender and it came out with a lot of ripples. Not saying it can't work with a hyd bender buy you will see the difference. Depending on how you make the exhaust you might not even need a bend in the pipe.
