HELLL NO. Those dogs have an amazing desire and drive, but that is just plain wrong. All it takes is one bad undertow, the wrong current, or one big wave close to those rocks and you can kiss your dog good bye. I wonder what the average life span of those dogs is?

You'd think they'd put a life jacket on the dog.

I stopped the video halfway through! I wouldn't dare let my dog in there! Having a dog is not just an accessory, it is a life long friend! I just can't see sending a dog in that! One bad wave and you got yourself a dead dog! But it's not my dog it is your dog, so press on I guess!

If i knew my dog could handle it i would definitely let him retrieve in that.
Like WestEndAngler said, I think putting a life jacket on one would definitely be a good idea haha
But one thing's for sure..those dogs there have something on the rest of ours.

Yep...They have experience w/ that type water. I'm sure the first retrieve the dogs made weren't in that type of conditions.
River current or strong tide at a choke point on a dog that is used to a pond or lake w/out any moving water is new as well.

I would definatly let my dogs work in that water... Toss a neoprene float vest on them and good to go.

Its all about being trained in and worked in that kind of weather and enviroment.

Its not the big water its the landing. Even without sharp edges, being tossed against those rocks looks like a good way to get hurt. My dog loves to fetch in the surf at the beach. Rides the breaking waves back in but to sand. Not too hard and much firmer footing when he lands. Give him a safe place to land and yes, I would hunt him there.

The desire is an awesome thing to watch. Kinda felt sorry for him at the end, getting pounded by those waves. Would mine do it? In a heart beat. Could he handle it in his prime? Absolutely. Would I ask him to do it? I dont think so.

Yep, That is pretty rough conditions but I would run a neoprene dog vest on them and have a boat backup.

They probably think guys who hunt the swamps, putting their dogs in the water with snakes and gators are heartless bastards. I bet you couldnt keep one of those dogs at home on a day that beautiful!!!
