I have had my knee done twice, the put me in the tube all the way in. I just fell asleep both times. The noise didnt both me at all.

barely made it through, I was counting down at the end. I was 72 seconds away from freaking the fuck out.

Trying doing a double hip in one of the old ones that you have to hold your arms above your head to fit in because it's so narrow. I've had a bunch of em and that one was horrible

I had one done on my back! I'm not a little feller I had them pull me out!! Next time it will be a open MRI !! Now you know why it's so cold in their I was sweating bullets at the end lol

I'll find out soon enough, I decided to have something done about it when a few months ago I picked up a shotgun and couldn't hold it up to shoot. No bueno.

I got an injection and its ten folds better. Doing an MRI to make sure nothing is really messed up.

They aren't to bad. I'm with 3ck, I fell asleep both times.

Cortisone shit helped mine quite a bit. Seemed like I could never get over the hump with the pain and the shot did it for me. Shoulder still hurts but I can function now. Before couldn't even wash me hair. MRI is a sob. Barely made it myself. I had about 1 minute left in me when the session was done....and I had took a hydrocodone 10mg before Open Air MRI's from now on.

I kept tilting my head back so I could see out of the end. The woman doing it kept talking to me during the test. I felt like a bitch but she kept telling me how long was left and I'd start counting. I feel like she knew I was about to tear some shit up trying to get out of that hole.

Woman kept asking if I was ok, I finally had to tell her to shut up so I could sleep.

They gave me some shitty ear phones, it was loud as fawk.

Had one done on my knee about 2 months ago. Holy crap I thought it was gonna come apart on me!!!

All I'm gonna say is your not normal if you can sleep in one of those fuckin things.

Only way is if you had some badass noise canceling headphones that played those sleep sound machine tunes, popped a hydrocodene, and smoked a big fatty right before you walked in.

Yall must be narcoleptic if you can sleep in there without those 3 things..

Ask for an open air. If they dont have one in your area ask for Ativan. It will take the edge off, thats what the meds are for.

After being in the service and also raising 3 very loud children, hell I can drown our all kinds of noise and sleep.
The headphones playing music that they do at advanced imaging helps too.

I just popped in my ear plugs & it was just like sleeping on a train @ work, with the exception of her waking me up constantly. Owen, face it, you're just big ol puss!!!

I slept through my knee MRI. I actually moved during the last set of shots and they had to start that one series over. I got startled by a dream or something.

I have a really hard time staying awake. Most of mine have to be re-shot because I'm always "chasing rabbits" in my sleep

But then again, I'm not exactly a fatboy like DDM is!

I have been in several different kinds. The old style that I had for my knee in HS put you in head first. The injection you speak of is called contrast. Had 1 w/ and 1 w/o contrast and they put you in head first. They didn't know about music and earphones then. I don't know if I would even fit in that skinny little unit now.
Been in several more since then. I can do any of them but w/o a doubt the open ones are the way to go.

Have had four, the first one made it about 45 seconds until I started pressing the little button, the bitch forgot to give me the hearing protection. Never going back to them, the new place I'm gone to has these goggles that will let u watch what ever TV channel or movie ya want. Takes the edge off watch'n a hunting video, and can still drive yourself home. Oh, contrast MRI's suck ass.
