I just built three longtails with 13 hp engines and 8x4 props. I am yet to install cav plates. Does anybody have any input on what angle the cav plate should be in relation to the prop shaft? Also how big should the cav plate be? the motors will be run on 1448mv alumacrafts with a 15" transom.

make the cav plate parralel with the motor mount plate and and slightly wider than the width of the prop you will use
