 STAGE 1 PROP QUESTION
Fella's, I am running a new prop on a stage 1 PD. I am wondering if anyone has changed from a factory prop to a 12X14 cleaver. If so, How many RPM's did you loose?
ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCT APPRECIATED...

 Re: STAGE 1 PROP QUESTION
Mathmatically assuming you could run both at 30 mph - there is a 567 rpm reduction in engine rpms on the 12x14 versus the 12x12....
Real world - 12x14 is a dang big blade to sling with any MM....

 Re: STAGE 1 PROP QUESTION
Thanks... I am turning EXTREMELY Too many RPMS with my factory prop.. With about 1K #'s I am running at 32mph BUT>>>> I am turning 4350 to 4450 RPMS... I have a rev limiter, but was told that it isnt going to kick in until around 4800. I can by the 12x14 cleaver right now. Opinion???

 Re: STAGE 1 PROP QUESTION
Lots of "subtle" science in prop design - like Bdog was sayin'
If they had a return option it would make the testing less expensive you might try to borrow one first.

 Re: STAGE 1 PROP QUESTION
Does anyone have a prop other than that of a factory prop that I could make a run with? I really need to purchase one, but unsure as to which one.

 Re: STAGE 1 PROP QUESTION
I bought it from Giga, it came off a GDSD. He said it doesn't need that extra blade! JK Man, I wish I still had that prop, It was a preformer. I hit 31mph in my tub with that thing! with just a Mukuni carb! little to no prop slip at all. Nah, Its Willets old/but still brand new prop only used a couple times. and yes it does have two blades. lol
