Learned alot especially that you cannot rely on the Game wardens for anything other than to write you a ticket. if you get stuck your on your own. have a plan. if we wouldnt have been close to our camp. we would have really been in a bind.

Re: Lake Fausee Point : Help! Glad all worked out. Stranded in my boat scenarios is always on my mind. Below is what I carry to help me out with that.
Always in the boat. 4 different ways to start a fire. Small metal bucket to make fire in. 4 small fire logs. 10 buck tarp from Walmart to make a shelter with. A few of those small silver space blanket things. At least a 12 pack of water. Flares. Some type of protein. (Potted meat / Vienna Sausage). Winter time I carry my small propane heater and spare bottles. And I always have my spot locater to alert my buddies if no cell phone service.
