No loans for toys

I financed part of my first surface drive rig in 2006. Financed with a local bank, and they had no clue what a prodrive or mud boat was.

Ended up having to get a personal loan for 8k @ 6.5% for 2 years.

Crazy how much prices have gone up. My first prodrive rig was 10,585 out the door. Boat, 36PD with power trim and reverse, and McClain trailer.

Depends on the interest rate you can get. Go shop local credit unions.

Cash only. Learn to sell a few of the older toys you dont use much anymore. Try to get at least half of what the new one cost and cash for the rest.

Over the last 25 years I have gone through about a dozen boats, 8 ATV's, 18 trucks, 6 motorcycles and a shit load of smaller things but have always upgraded them to better toys.

Never sell your guns for toys. Keep them all and get more.

all depends on the interest rate and what you wind up paying in the long run i have some friends that just finance everything where they get it regardless of any info other than "whats my note gonna be? i need it below $____"

if they have low or no interest offers you might as well take advantage but ive seen many friends wind up upside down on everything they own bc the min payment they make on the ridiculous interest rate puts em in the hole after the first payment.. then when they decide they want a new one for no reason other than wanting it they just digg into a deeper hole since they owe thousands more than they could ever get for it.

they have too many calculators online now that will tell you your end price with interest to disregard

Oh and it's fairly easy getting a atv for cheap because folks around here will break a axle and call it a piece of shit and sell it for cheap, that's how I get my bikes. And I hade two bike up until about a week age I hade the brute and the recon and I finally talked a buddy out of that grizzly and I got a good deal so I want some engine and clutch mods to put the torque to the ground anything else

Does it matter what I spend my money on? If you really need to know I am a ag technician ( work on tractors, combines and other ag machinery) and I actually put a good bit in the bank every month. I pay for my toys out of my service call jobs(go out and fix said machines in the feild) no I might not be the richest but I am a damn gear head and modifying four wheelers to spin some big tires and go through the deepest hole at an atv park makes me happy then I am gonna do it. I am 19 years don't have kids and maybe one day I can grow up to be like you

Paid cash for my mud rig. Got my ski boat on a signature loan. Interest rates aren't bad. Went through Regions Bank.
