Regular outboard on Gator Tail boat
Gents, I am new to mud motors/boats and mudmotor talk so please forgive my ignorance in advance. My question is this; Does anyone have an opinion or thought on putting a regular outboard motor on a 16x46 Gator Tail boat? I have a hydraulic jack plate that would lift the motor enough to run pretty shallow. I think the flat bottom of the Gator Tail, or any boat designed for shallow runnin, would work well with this set up to run as shallow as i need to. My only concern would be the performance runnin down the river and such. Tell me where I am right or wrong here. Thanks!

Re: Regular outboard on Gator Tail boat
Wont go over or thru mud flats but will go faster than a mud motor. If you like it and the price is good then buy it.

Re: Regular outboard on Gator Tail boat
I figured I would be limited in the mud. I was mainly wonderin how well that type of boat would do with an outboard as far as turning and all. I do like the boat, but I would hate to buy it, and it not be compatible with an outboard. I appreciate your reply.
