 Ocala Any body going to the boat show at Miller's Boating Center this weekend? I'm driving up and back with the Fam' on Sunday from Naples...gonna be a long day, but hope to get a much better handle on what I'm getting myself into with a new rig...

Re: Ocala I really wanted to go but 5hrs is too far. Have a wedding in Stuart on Saturday and gotta work Sunday.

Re: Ocala Just back from Ocala... 525 mile round trip with the wife and kids. Lots of stuff going on at Millers, but damn cold...saw 38 degrees in the truck on the way there!
Ordered a 17x54 extreme with a 35gtr and a laundry list of options.
Very glad I went up, and had the chance to deal with Bubba from GT, as he had a lot of insight on what and what not to do in terms of the build...very helpful!
I'll put up more details later- all I'm worried about now after all the driving, is pizza and beer!

Re: Ocala Right on! Glad you chimed in- I was just thinking to my self, what a dolt I was for not getting your info...you could see my hands were full (and cold for that matter)!
It was great meeting you and dad today, and im excited about the rig! This is gonna be a whole new world...
Wish I had more time up there or I would have conned you into giving me a ride in your rig!

Re: Ocala Yeah man Bubba and I went out on the lake after the show on Sunday. We had plenty of room. I got to run the reverse plate for the first time, it's night and day difference. I will never run another GTR with out it.

We build Custom fishing rods, do rod repair, and are a bow shop ( Hoyt, Mathews, PSE)...
