Id like to see the PD shop start doing engine mods in house as well an maybe exploring diffrent motors like GTR has done with their new 25 hp motor. But other than that I am more than happy with my PD i knew i was getting a mud boat not a speed boat

I like that idea.... FPR and instant reverse in the same motor! Would that mean instant forward when in FPR??

Oooooooooooooooh. I gotcha. Best of both worlds as far as reverse goes then. A double whammy. I like it.

Will it be a new motor or will it be a lower unit I could replace my old one with?

Post Re: Whats up with ProDrive
I've know something was coming for a long time. I recently moved to another part of the US and my conditions have changed. I am trying to make an educated decision on which motor I want to go with - either the GTR or the PD ( which I have always run and been loyal to). Most companies tought their design or provide information to the Customer as to help them make a decision. I understand R&D and the proper way to introduce product and information to the market. For example Toyota who I am loyal to introduced the new Tundra in 2007 and I decided to wait on it based on what was being released. Graduated improvement in design is a good thing and in most cases is experienced with the products we buy. You as a consumer then can decide to whether the improved and newer product is worth getting. I don't understand some of the tactics involved in this industry - you either have it or you don't. There just seems to be guarded approach on laying your cards on the table with these companies as a precedent was set early in the game of what can happen (most of you who have been around know what I am talking about). I just think the mm industry is held back some and some of the reason you are seeing people jump from one brand to another. They are fun to run but in the end these motors are tools for what we use them for. I just want the best tool based on all the information I can get. If there was something coming as most have eluded to what better way to introduce it into the market before our season is here. I have my first round of magazines and not one mention of any change in design and improvement for this year. Interpret it how you want but this prime time that if you have it then by all means lets see what it is.

Carry on boys...

I'm anxious to see what pd is working on and when will it be released what it is. I'm hoping for a higher hp fuel injected motor or a redesigned prop would be nice.

There was a Kawaski fuel injected MB long tail.

IT SUCKED!!!!!!!

The fuel injection sprayed gas like a garden hose.

I too have heard that PD is working on some things.
