 I got ?'s about my "Creamy" oil.. (Pics) So I'm ready to swallow my pride and post some pictures and ask some questions.
I did some after goose season maintenance today on my 35GTR. Checked the lash, changes the oil, greased everything...ect ect...
I noticed the oil was an odd color with some strange "Froth" under the valve covers.
Attached is a picture. I was using 5W-30 Synthetic this time. This oil only has about 10 hours on it and the engine was cold when I pulled the covers off to check the last (Which was about .006-.007).
I keep my rig in the yard with a tarp over it to keep the snow off her but I wonder if condensation could have caused this???
And the random photo from Saturday...somebody had a little too much to drink...this was at 1:00PM...

Re: I got ?'s about my "Creamy" oil.. (Pics) It's "lash", not "last". Anyway, takes a good bit of water to get the oil that discolored. Drain it and start over, keep an eye on it.

Anyways, how in the hell would that much water have gotten in with the oil I wonder??
I'm going to run it next weekend and then change the oil again and compare. Oil level was exactly where it was at when I filled it the last time.

Both sides looked like oil w little bit of water.

Re: I got ?'s about my "Creamy" oil.. (Pics) I'd change it now......it's ruined. If the oil under the valve covers looks like that, then it all looks like that. Change it and figure out where it got in at and stop it.

Re: I got ?'s about my "Creamy" oil.. (Pics) I changed the oil today. Ran it and drained a cup and it looked ok. Topped it off and I'm going to run it this weekend and then change it again. I think condensation is getting into the motor from being tarped up.
