My reverse works fine for frogging. It sure don't have the power in reverse as an outboard. But trimmed correctly and with the right amount of throttle (can't be scared of the throttle,) it works just fine in most situations. Only time it hasn't gotten the job done is when I've slid 100 yards onto sand at wot. I would've liked fpr in those situations.
Btw, what is it about an outboard that gives it so much power? I guess it has to do with the prop. Y can't someone make a prop with more bite in reverse for gtr? Im guessing it's because it would cause problems with going forward. I don't know the technical details on all of that stuff.

I can't believe I read through all this bullshit.
Sounds to me like lack of tiller time. Op, different scenarios cause for different tactics. Each situation is different. Sometimes u can hold the reverse and back up, sometimes u gotta sway it while holding it. Sometimes u gotta dig a hole, sometimes it's best to hit reverse and get off, hit reverse again and get off, instead of just holding reverse like u would an outboard. Don't be afraid to turn Rpms. The only time reverse n gtr would screw me is when the water would drop and I couldn't back out the blind be ause I could only get a 1/4 of the prop n the water because of the rozos under the boat. We would have to get out and push off a few feet and if I put everyone n the back of the boat I could then move once the prop was n water. I personally would get a new prop, make sure ur idle is right and adjust ur governor. I realize this isn't ur boat but through stick time you both will get better. Gtrs aren't like an outboard, there is a learning curve. Kinda like eating pussy when ur 16. Just licking the lips and wondering y she ain't getting into it.

He been having it for bout 2 1/2 years.

AO was on the left side of him and didn't even run right up there. He was never directly behind him and when AO was right next to him, Terry was still trying to move back and fourth. He didn't stop trying to get out until AO got moved back a little, and you're right at that point he would have probably covered him in mud, but he was never directly behind him (unless he got behind him when we left and went down the cut, I don't know) and Terry had time to get out before either of us ran up there and while AO was right on the side of him. We waited on him to move before either of us tried to get by. He was the first one stuck and the last one out no matter how you look at it. Poker ran around him pretty easily on the right, I hit higher ground to the left of AO and backed right back out.

And also, no matter how you look at it, his boat is one of the only boats I've ever seen struggle in the giant salvania, which I happen to run quite often and never have any issues, even though he tried to say my motor won't run in it.
