 LT for 1432 jon??
I've got a 1432 aluma sitting around not getting used and I have a few places that I'd like to get to that I'm reluctant to take my new boat to.
Thinking about building a LT with a 13 hp predator.
Anybody got any experience with a 13 on this size boat? Would this be too much motor for the boat? What kind of speeds could I expect?
Thanks

Go with a 12 hp sd. You will be much happier IMO.

 Re: LT for 1432 jon??
I had a 13 hp predator on a homemade longtail on a 14x36. Top speed was 16 empty and 13 hunt load. It worked well. Only concern was I had to carry a extra 1.5 gallon gas can if I planned on running all day like scouting or something. No big deal though. Oh that and they don't charge a battery. But run led lights and your fine. Other than that it was great

Mine was a aluminum frame and was about 115# I'm running a 16 ho longtail now on that 1336. The 16 gdlt weighs 175#or so with no issues.

I ran the 16duromax on a 1436 and would say that's the call if your looking for that size engine. It's basically a bored out 13hp and all the bolt on parts still fit it. A friend also runs a 16vanguard longtail on a 1232 and it does alright but definitely pushing the limit.

My buddy runs a 10hp Dixie SD on his 1432. Loves it exctept when he has a hunting load, then its slow going, and then he hates it haha. 13hp LT will be perfect and I dont think youll have any issues at all.
