 GT Tiller Handle Nut
A guy I hunt with is running an early GTR. He's having issues with the tiller handle nut working loose every trip. It's got to the point now that he keeps a wrench in the boat to tighten it up after every run to keep it from falling off while driving. Regardless of how much you tighten it, it starts to work loose when you lift the handle.
Is there an easy fix for this or was this an issue that was redesigned somewhere down line or something?

 Re: GT Tiller Handle Nut
So we're basically just trying to find something that will work here i guess. Maybe use 2 stainless washers back to back to create a pivot point then the locknut?

 Re: GT Tiller Handle Nut
If its giving him that much trouble I would get a longer bolt If needed and put jam nuts on it! That would fix the problem for sure.
