 BowFishing setup, How many lights?
Im about to buy lights for my boat for bow fishing and ive got some questions for you guys that are already running setups.
1st im going with seelite truewarm. how many is enough? they will be mounted on a 3 man GT hide. what style to go with? HPS, Metal Halide or Halogen. then, out of the two (120VAC or 12/24VDC) which one?
Im thinking for the front i would get 1 80watt and down each side 2 50 watts. i will be getting a honda eu 2000 to run em.
any input would be greatly appreciated.

Just asked this question the other day.
It was suggested 4+ 50w true warm in halo color. I believe you can run a lot more lights than that off of batteries. No need for genny.
Good luck let us know what u decide.
There's a thread in huntin fish about lights.

I think I'm going with the seelite 50w led and going to run 4 for now. Two on the front and one on each side. I believe I can run them off of one battery.

Im not sure, Missle made the comment about the halo's that they work in all conditions. I live in florida so my hunting will be clear water most of the time.

Re: BowFishing setup, How many lights?
It comes down to personal opinion and what works for you. I run the halo color cause it works for me but I got a buddy that runs metal halides on the same water. He likes them but I can't see crap with them(in muddy water). My experience is make sure you have as much light as you can fit across the front and corners. The sides don't take as much light to see. Think about when you got 2-4 people on the front and causes your bow to be closer to the water which will cause you to loose some light throw. I fish water from muddy with hardly any visibility to clear water shooting fish 5-6' deep. Kinda like choosing a mm got to fish off all the options and choose what you like. Lol
