 Value of a 99 war eagle 1648
I'm looking at a 99 war eagle 1648 with a 2003 Merc 25hp. Boat looks good, one small dent. Comes with gun box, small war eagle live well/storage box and a decent trolling motor. He says motor runs great. I'm going to look at it thursday. What's everyone's honest opinion on what it's worth? Also it has the low deck. Thanks, I really appreciate any help.

Do a search on Craigslist and boat trader and get some comparisons. Then you'll no more when you sea trial it.

I'd say 4500 is your cap on a rig like this, closer to 3.8-4k haggle price ... Also; HAVE A COMPRESSION TEST DONE!

Re: Value of a 99 war eagle 1648
Im thinking of offering 3750 and see what he says. Im not the type of guy to offer a crazy lowball offer but in this case he is way too high on his price. And its been on CL for a month now so it seems like everyone else thinks so too. I may be the guy with the guts to offer what its worth and take it home... Who knows.

Maybe so. Good luck man, hope you end up with a good rig for a good price.

Re: Value of a 99 war eagle 1648
That boat 15 years ago was around $4200 new. The trailer probably around $900. The Merc was maybe $3000 at the most. The trolling motor around $300. He probably bought it as a package deal and paid around $8500 give or take a little depending on seats, batteries, gas tank, etc.
Figure in 15 years of use and depreciation and I would say---- Boat is worth $1800-2000 Motor is worth $1000-1200 Trailer is worth $300 Trolling motor is worth $50-100
$3600 is my offer sight unseen with $3850 my stopping point unless the WHOLE rig is pristine. In that case, I might go $4000.
