Post 36 ProDrive Air Cleaner
I lost the whole damn thing this weekend. A closer look shows the bolt in the spacer plate that hold everything together broke off. Of course 2 weeks after buying a K&N airfilter and installing it.
So I am looking to replace the complete air cleaner unit. Anyone have one they would like to part with?

I have the Gecker model adapter with the high flow air filter that I will put back on for right now. I removed it because of the humid and foggy mornings lately keep the filter wet and it makes the motor run like crap until it drys.

The 2 year warranty from Briggs will replace the entire assembly for you.If it is under warranty call PD.

X2 Same thing happened to me. The new one looks like the bolt is tack welded on instead of pressed in. Should last longer. PD sent me a box w/ everything I needed. You will have to send them that metal plate that the bolt was in though.

Out of warranty as of 08/09. :( No worries coondik has me covered. I will be drilling this plate out and putting in a grade 8 bolt this time. That sould stop it from braking.

You could add a 12" rubber bungie but it will still break. Mine did anyway. I just didn't loose everything the second time. I drilled out the mounting plate and added a 1/4" stainless bolt (could go larger) long enough to run through the whole setup. Ran it like that for over a year and had no further problems. Rough water or the motor bouncing is just enough to stress that stud where its tacked to the mounting plate and break it over time. If you run rough water you have been warned.
