 Crawfish boats
I see a couple skiffs that have a chain one the front of it for crawfish what is that used for

Drag the chain to slow the boat down while running traps. Helps prevent overshooting traps.

No not really. Some areas you throw the chain and others you don't....kinda depends on the conditions you running traps in, and water levels.
