12x10 or 12-1/4x10 big blade on a 23hp Surface Drive?
Right now I'm running a Dixie 23 (7/8" shaft) on a 1744 Phowler Prowler. Motor is bone stock, boat jumps on plane running 25-26 mph with 2 people/light load, and has no problem running 23 mph with 2 people/hunting load and a dog.
My question is... Has anyone run a bigger prop on a 23hp surface drive? Everyone seems to run the 11x10 but with my set-up it feels like I could go bigger.

U may have to change gears to do that or mod the engine but it will turn the bigger prop if u do

My 23 mbsd came with the big blade. Ran very good! Then I put a 12x12 Hopkins on it and ran just as good if not better.

I just swapped from the 11x10 to the big blade on my 23. Can't turn as high rpm, lost a little top end speed but my low end seemed to pick up some torque.
