Post 35 GTR Power Trim
Took my boat out for a ride yesterday and on the way in my power trim stopped working. I am getting nothing when I press the up and down button. This motor only has 40 hours on it, anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Going to bring it in to Gator Tail on Monday.

The wires came off the back of the switch underneath the trim forward / start cover...?

If your wires are good check the fuse. If it's a tiller model the fuse will be located on the port (left) side of the engine when looking from the back of the boat.

My trim has not worked a few times. Everytime it has been a loose connection at my battery. Things loosen up with the vibs. If you have relays in the battery box check to make sure they are good, because they are for the Trim.

Check your connections at da switch and at da battery. Also check da fuse and try da reset button. If it still don't work check your relays by by-passing da power straight to your trim motor. If you still don't have anything bring to GT I had da motor for my hydrolic trim go out on me once and they replaced my trim in about 20 minutes.

Traced the wire back to a little box that was hanging by a wire. The nut had fallen off. Put a locknut on it so that dosent happen again.

Thanks for all of your responses.
