 Re: 31 gdlt
I have one on the back of my 1656 GD boat.It has plenty of balls to push it at about 18 mph with two dead hogs(about 125-150 lbs each)me at 240 my son at 250,treeclimbers,cooler with ice drinks and food, cold weather gear and assorted other crap for a day long hunt.We hunt the deep in the cypress swamps here in Florida. It has gotten us to and back where ever we go.I had a 23hp at first went to the 31hp and that 7hp makes a world of difference.Hope this helps.

 Re: 31 gdlt
I'd like to know speeds, handling characteristics, and all that crap. I've heard that the 35 is a bitch to drive. I dont know if those people are wussies or are they really unruly... ya know what I mean. I dont have the ability to go test drive one or I would.

 Re: 31 gdlt
I am going to do a review of my rig soon. But so far my speeds with just myself, gas and one battery are this....... flat water 18 at 3400 RPM. If I work the trottle manually and bypass the governor I get 19.5 at 3800-3850 RPM. Best I have seen in the three or four times I have had it out was 22.5 going down stream at 3850 RPM. All of these speeds are on a prop that is worn pretty badly. Its sharp enough to shave with right now! I will get a new prop as soon as I get the playing out of my system. As far as the boat goes. I love the Aucoin hull. I have not one dislike or complaint. I want a SD with reverse but this LT will get me by for now. Got to start somewhere.

 Re: 31 gdlt
Oh and I am only about 160lbs. I have no problem running the 30. It takes a little muscle in some situations but nothing a little fella like me can't handle.

 Re: 31 gdlt
Ok,if you get in some mud with very little water it can be a bear to get moving but once it moves an inch it will go.The prop will try to dig itself deep into the mud you have to keep it just below the surface and move it back and forth not to allow the dig in.Now normal open water it's a dream without dead animals and bunch of hunting crap in the boat, like for a night of frogging it will do 20 to 23 mph.Like I said earlier going from a 23LT to a 31LT was the best money spent.Oh yeah I'm 58 years old with a 4 way heart bypass if I can drive it you can.

 Re: 31 gdlt
I've put 167 hours on mine. I had a 25 and 27 gdlt before. Takes a little bit more to drive the 31 but not much.
Mine is on a 18x60 hull and by myself I run around 19 @3600rpms and with a load around 17 @ 3400rpms.

 Re: 31 gdlt
I bought it with it on there. It ain't hard to drive though. I can get just above 20 mph. Never put it on a gps just compare to other ppl i'm driving next too. My prop is warn real bad... just can't justify spendin the money on a new one.

 Re: 31 gdlt
Pics didn't show up in previous post as I did some house cleaning on my photobucket account.
This is a 18.6ft boat with a 44" stepped bottom. Bottom looks like this.
