 What size motor do I need ?? I bought a used 16'x44", with hunt deck. Motor mount is 16.5" from top to bottom. What is max HP, do I want a tall or short motor? Thanks,

Re: What size motor do I need ?? Check the capacity on the trailer. It looks just like a 1250lb trailer I had for a lil 14ft boat.
1250 is going to be pretty tight for that boat/motor..

What size motor do I need ?? Come to think of it the tongue looks tiny too. Not much room between winch post and front end of trailer at all. I think like ducknut said that trailer ain't rated for much. Sell it before it's too late.
