 Mud Buddy Frame, Predator Motor
Alright guys, i recently bought a used mud buddy frame from a friend (excelent shape) and bought a new 22hp Predator motor for it. I talked to Jake from Backwater and he said it would work i would just have to make a shim for the motor for my universal to line up with the shaft. My question is how do i know what the proper height is? i know the obvious "dont want the universal to bind" stuff, but how do i know what height to mount it at so that i get the most efficiant power to the shaft, with no stress on the joint? Has anyone ever done a build like this, or have any insight on the situation? thanks!

Re: Mud Buddy Frame, Predator Motor
This should be easy for you. Hang the motor on the top two bolts above the shaft to the frame, build shims or use washers on the difference to the bottom mounting plate. This will give your u-joint the right angle, as long as its less than 15 degrees you should be ok. Good luck
