Re: Gatortail lowerunit Yeah, not normal. Time to pull the shaft and see. Probably bearings, but could be the taper lock on the gear.

Re: Gatortail lowerunit Bearings were recently replaced so I'm guessing it's the taper lock. How hard is that to replace?
