 Slick bunks for cheap
Idk where to post this but I drove a long way today looking for some plastic bunk covers and all I found was this bullshit for $64 that only does 16 feet of bunk.
So I got the boat sitting on buckets in the yard and went to Home Depot looking for a cheap solution.... I found it. 4" pvc down spouts for gutters
Bought 2 for $12 each and split them with a sawzall. Had just a little more than enough left over.
They fit right over the bunks with the carpet left on them. Then I secured them with some stainless screws.
Doesn't look terrible but it doesn't look great either and it was a total cost of about $26
No more electrolysis, and hopefully no more boat freezing to the trailer. I will update this tomorrow after I get the boat winched back up on the trailer and see how it slides around.
Oh and here's an 1860 godevil sitting on 5 gallon buckets in my front yard just for laughs.

You should get rid of those U bolt board brackets and bolt those boards straight to the trailer frame. It makes the trailer more rigid and the boat sits lower, lets you launch in a little less water.

But how do you keep the skeg from dragging when you do that? My skep would only be a few inches off the ground.

I made a new trailering bracket out of stainless, Shortened it by 2" I think. Plus the stainless is way better than that pos aluminum one it came with.

I used an old plastic truck bed liner on my trailer. Had one laying out back from the wife's truck and figured I give it a shot.

The GoDevil skeg is way off the road when trailering. Hitting the pavement wouldn't be an issue.
