 Confirm plz-Is this 05 MB 35SD a short or tall transom? Looking for confirmation of intended transom height for this motor. Its supposedly an 05 tall transom set up but the gentlemen isn't too convincing nor too sure about it. I've seen several posts stating that it's a tall transom frame if it has 8 bolts in the clutch cover. Is this a for sure method to determine without being able to put a tape on it?? Thia motor has 8 bolts in the clutch cover, just trying to verify before going any furtherm. Thanks fellas.

Re: Confirm plz-Is this 05 MB 35SD a short or tall transom? Just so you understand how he knew, it has 8 bolts in the clutch cover (upper section of the belt housing). The short transom has 6.

Also, there is a thread on here just today of a motor with dual exhaust like the one you have pictured that dropped some rusty baffle metal into one of the combustion chambers and peened the piston and head.

Re: Confirm plz-Is this 05 MB 35SD a short or tall transom? Either get a used stainless exhaust and gut it out, or watch the classifieds here and try to pick up one somebody is getting rid of to try something else.
Got any more pics of the motor? If the motor is in good shape and runs well, and the hull is in good shape, it should push it just fine.
