Re: storage options for GT boats
The hunt deck is cool, adds some length to your boat, plus a good place for the dog. Hydro turf is awesome stuff, it's the official boat flooring of MMT. That's a lot of stuff for a boat, you gonna have any room to walk or carry decoys and people? I think ya got way too much stuff in the boat, a bench in the middle will serve as a seat and gun/rod storage, other than that I wouldn't put all those boxes in the boat. And the aluminum trailer is gonna outlast the galvanized, if it's salty where you are you might want the aluminum. You only need floatation if you think you might sink

Re: storage options for GT boats
Your best bet is go to L'ville and check them out, or make a run and see them all.
I'd get the hunt deck to keep the water from coming over the transom if you get down hard on your reverse. You cannot move the storage around in the GT boats. The more chit you put in the boxes the more your performance will drop, and I like an open boat. I have a gun box and rear seat and thats it and I fill them up with stuff before I realize it.
You are fixin to spend a bunch of money so do it right the first time and check them out in person, make the drive do not just look on the www.

Re: storage options for GT boats
Hunt deck on a gator tail boat does not add to the length, hydroturf is a must.

Re: storage options for GT boats
Take a look at my rig review I got everything I wanted on it perfect setup for hunting my area and running the areas I wasn't able to during the "best" days after cold fronts...
Only thing I'd do different is get the extreme hull (it wasn't offered when I bought mine)
I bring a cooler on the boat usually the yeti. It doubles as a seat & cooler... Livewell well I usually fish arti only but if I'm bringing live bait I'll bring a small secondary cooler. I never use my rod / gun box for rods or guns lol... Its stuffed full of life jackets, safety / recovery gear , tools etc.
Rod holders are on a cooler I have on my my boat and on my poling platform...
One word of advice.. if you think your going to get something later down the road and just not right away make sure you tell them that way they can design it with the later addition in mind. Will be a simple plug & play should you wish to add platform for bowfishing or poling platform etc.

Re: storage options for GT boats
Check out the link in my signature....and WEA is right, if you plan on doing something later, make sure you tell the GT...I found out that they make the boats a little different for center consoles than they do for a tiller...so later, if you want to go to a cc, it's not as easy as just dropping it in, however, if they build it with that in mind, it's alot easier. The boxes in the boat are removable, so i would just go ahead and get them...you can always take them out. I've got kiddos, so i like having "emergency" crap with me. Good luck, Woody

Re: storage options for GT boats
most people overthink the whole box/storage thing when they order their first mudboat.... don't over estimate how much storage you need. lots of boxes=lots of shit you don't need=you go lots slower and are unhappy with your rig's performance.
lots easier to add later if you really feel the need.
I have a PD boat, and between the seat pod and the front deck storage, I don't even have the gun box in. never have had one before in any of my other boats.
