 bog hog surface drive, any good?
wondering if anybody has had any experience with the bog hog build it yourself surface drive kits. really just wondering how well made they are,and what kind of hp they can handle. thanks

their totally forkin' awesome! been running them for years put a 4 cylinder out of a GEO Metro on mine and flat out hauls azz, nuttin' can touch it!

ok . not 100% on this but i received a purple geo metro as payment for rent once(yes i know i got the short end of that deal, but i got a really cool go cart to ride in the cow pasture) and im pretty sure it had a three cylinder not 4. that being said i fell like i may be getting my proverbial chain yanked here. so ill try again. anyone got any legitimate advice on the bog hog surface drives.

Since I guess you're having a hard time reading between the lines. DON"T DO IT! Just buy a used motor if you can't afford to buy new. All of the major competitors make a quality product.
Only thing I ever heard about the bog hog kits was on the lt's. Seems to be pretty light duty for some of the stuff we put these motors through.

it originally was a 3 cylinder, but i sent it to Gecker and had him add another cylinder
