We should have Motorola Radios or something...

Really we should have those cool Rhino GPS units that have radio & gps combined. You could see where everyone was at just by looking at the screen.

Dat would defeat da purpose.

here's another idea for next year......

if you order t-shirts, recognize that someone has to take a financial risk on those, and make some effort to find the guy, and purchase all the shirts that you asked for!


yep, I feel bad that some missed out on the sandbar drinking, myself included. VHF radios seem to work well for the boys down in S. La.; might be a good plan for those that are there next year to bring some along.

Or we could all get cans and really long strings. Lol but seriously radios would be good cause it's hard to find the group when you get left behind.

How bout bringing the motorola radios..

then leaving them in the truck...

then blowing the lower unit out at 1am in the middle of nowhere..

Next year get the radios from the truck to boat...

thankful it wasn't me in that boat.....

and they eventually got towed in...

took two boats... by friday night at 1am had one with a blown powerhead and one with a lower unit that was shot..... but hey still enjoyed the weekend!

FYI-verizon works pretty good most places on the lake.....

If they don't contact him and take care of it, post up something and maybe we can all get together and make up the loss or something... that really sucks. I am glad someone took the initiative to do that and don't want to see them get the shaft over it...

Radios would be a great investment. AT&T does have some fairly sketchy service at Caddo, and they would help because I, personally, don't like my phone too far out of my drybox when Im on the water.


CaddoBrook, I will say that you guys had some of the worst luck that there was this weekend. Im just glad that we finally found jeff and he didnt have to spend the night paddling through Britts Gap.


Paul, if you are stuck with some extra tshirts, Ill take another 2 or three off of you hands. Im sure we can get another ride together soon. Let me know if you have some XXLs left and maybe a small or a medium.

Well looks like the powerhead is gonna be fixed free of charge, thats good news. Hopefully we can work a deal on the lower unit and get it fixed soon.

Thanks again for tracking down my lil bro in the middle of the night sprig. Glad your boat did well on its maiden voyage.

And for sure, post up how many shirts are left over and sizes. I'm sure we can get rid of the rest of em. We probably would have picked up a few more if we knew they were available.
