Re: GTR Reverse not very effective This is the first review I have read about the GTR Reverse (but I haven't looked for one), but I remember talking to Peck and KP when they were designing there reverse system, and they designed the lower unit to spin around b/c they could not get enough power by just reversing the spin of the prop. I was interested to hear how it performed, but I can't say I am that surprised. However, I would imagine it is nice to just pop it in reverse for a quick slow down or while trailering in a stronf current.
I agree that PD would not help you either, it takes about 3-4 seconds to spin the hydraulic reverse.
