I've noticed that some of you guys run a 12 volt winch on the front of your boats not to sound stupid but what do you guys use them for? My only guess is kinda like a portage over stuff?

when your in the THICK mud and say u get stuck with no way out, throw a cajun anchor or a trench anchor, (one that bites when pulled in) and winch yourself out.

use it to pull yourself or sum1 else out of a bad spot, so u aint yankin and jerkin with a tow strap. ive seen others use them to get up or over STEEP levees to get to the other side..

Winches are for when your balls out grow your brains.

when you have to pull your boat 20 feet in 2 inches of water, you'll understand. Thats how I learned
