 Motion Decoys....
Trying to get an opinion on some motion decoys, Im talking about the ones that sit on the water and splash around. Anyone have any advice on which one works better or worth the money??

 Re: Motion Decoys....
Jerk cord works better than anything else. Mojo sells a deal that will work a dozen decoys. Or you could make your own, and just work a couple or as many as you want really. Its a real good way to stir up the mud and all the decoys in the vicinity.

 Re: Motion Decoys....
Yep what cb said... I also like bildge pump duck butts..... They both work great for where I hunt..
You can spend big bucks on some, or with a little redneck ingenuity you can build some on your own..
There was a post on here somewhere, maybe it was by Poker1, he shows how to make um like the store bought ones.. You can also hardwire them to your blind and run um off of a car battery...

 Re: Motion Decoys....
Thats it.... The only thing I ever had trouble with was the blinker relays.... They burn out to fast and dont have a long enough delay for me....
Put out the extra change and get some of these, well worth it... 0805101727.jpg

 Re: Motion Decoys....
Yes I ninginued one with 3 deeks on it works great. a rusty old 5 lb weight and a broke workout band makes for a good jerk cord. haha.

 Re: Motion Decoys....
X2 on the electronic flashers. They will last. I put mine in a sealed plastic box with the battery (deer feeder type) which also serves as the weight. I've had a wireless mallard machine for about 4 years now and it puts some serious motion on the water and less trouble than a jerk cord.

 Re: Motion Decoys....
i've used a Real Duck the past couple of years. runs on a 9 volt battery and last a good while. makes some motion in the water too. it's a goofy design but i've had more birds land next to this decoy than my mojo teal while using both in the same spread

 Re: Motion Decoys....
I invented the mallard machine 15 years ago. Just called it my bad azz duck feeding look-a-liker then saw it in a mag about seven eight years ago called the mallard machine now........ Works great in 2' water i've even taken a few trolling motors and mounted them to stakes at an angle in the water to where one blade of the prop is out of the water. It sprays when you hit it. Keeps thewater movin and the splash is great for confidence
