The frogs come out starting at dark and keep coming. Temps need to be above 65 degrees if you go later in the year. Yellow eyes about 1" or more apart. The bigguns look like rabbits sittin on da bank
The bigger the moon, the more skittish the frogs are. No waves before you get to em. Never break the light beam
Oh Yeah, an ice chest full of your favorite adult beverage helps keep the bugs off

I think a million CP is way to much IMO. The last guy I brought had a million CP light and I had my HH light. I don't know what CP the low power Aucoin's Hardware HH lights are but I dont believe they are over 100,000 CP. The lower power light is my favorite for shinning eyes. He could shine his light on a frog and the eyes would not pop and it just washed everything out. I would hit it with mine and you could see it plain as day.

Most warm days they will be sitting out the water. A drop in temps or wind may have them hunkered down with just the top of their heads sticking out the water. Water cools slower and will be warmer than the air making them a little harder to spot for the untrained eye. Once you see a couple you will know what Im taking about and you will be able to spot them with ease.

Right after a good rain, you will see the frogs out also.

Also if you know the frogs are there and there is alot of grass, run around in the grass and then start looking at where you first started, you should see them

Aucion's lights have a 35 watt bulb in them. I have tried the 50 watt but it is to hot on my bold head.

I have plains to build your own light and the cost is about $20 to $30 to build rather than $60. I have built 6. Have 2 in each boat

Most of the time after it rains it's good that night. And if there is any flooded fields around after they let the water off they are everwhere!

Wait untill theres a good moon out! Frogs start to feed more after the moon gets up. We rarely see the eyes on frogs! you gotta look for the white belly on em' use that hi beam headlight to spot em and the guys grabbin the frogs needs a headlight with enough light to blind the frog. if the light is to many candle watts the heat on the light will make em jump before u get a chance to grab em. Pin em down in the mud or bank dont try to swipe at em! my first time we only caught 12, next night we had 83. Some coonass in the spillway helped me!
