 3 Blade on GT??
Has anyone run a MB 3 blade prop on a GT35? I used to have a GDSD35 and really liked how it could get a heavy load on plane and run. On the other hand i love my GT and it will run through veggies like my GD never could. I know the 3 blade wont do as well in the veggies but it will haul a load better than the 2 blade.

 Re: 3 Blade on GT??
I wanted a 3 blade to but decided to put a little cup in my 2 blade after i ripped it on a pipe in the mud and had to get it fixed anyway. The cup in the prop made a huge difference on load carrying and speed...and cuts through grass and lillies like never before. I lost about 150 RPMS but that isnt anything.

 Re: 3 Blade on GT??
If a 3 blade would work better on a GTR they would have them as an option. They were tried but it did not work out well. There are some people out there that have a 3 blade but it is strickly for clear water and running.
The MB 3 blade was hit and miss with performance on differant set ups. If you get one let us know how it runs.

 Re: 3 Blade on GT??
Da 3 blade sucks in da vegetation and mud. Dat is why people do not run dem. You do get a little better performance in open water wit speed and load carrin capabilities. But to use it da way a surface drive was ment to be used it does not match up to da 12" 2 blade dat comes standard on da GTR's. Anyone who runs a 3 blade and claims they love it, is not puttin der boat anywhere a traditional outboard can't run.

 Re: 3 Blade on GT??
I have had my 3 blade for a couple weeks now In the grass it didnt seem to perform to bad. I did loose some top end but the hole shot and load carrying are way better. I get 4 guys a dog and gear outta the hole like my old outboard use too. I havent tried it in heavy mud yet. I mainly bought it for the long open water trips we doo this time of year for ducks. I cruise into some shallow grass filled bays and no issues yet with the grass. I lost proablly 200rpms on the top end but gets on step very fast

 Re: 3 Blade on GT??
I lost about 2mph Gps on the top end and I was running about 4400rpms now I hit around 4100 rpms I guess I would rather turn less Rpms it will proabally save on the motor in the long run. All in all I like the 3 blade and love the way it gets outta the hole it was worth the extra few bucks

 Re: 3 Blade on GT??
I did alot of the demoing on the 3 blade for the gt!! At first i though it was gonna be the shit!! As for as speed it was 2 mph faster than my 2 blade when i got it in to the swallows and veggies it sucked bad i meen bad!!! As for vibration it was better as for a tiller tork set your boat up right and you can solve that problem!!

 Re: 3 Blade on GT??
A buddy of myne has a go devil surface drive and switched from a two blade prop to the three blade prop and he saw anywhere from 2-3 mph increase in speed. He said that he lost a lot running through the weeds as well and a decrease in the performance in the mud.

 Re: 3 Blade on GT??
The best that I could get out of my two blade was just a little cup in it. Picked up 2 to 3 mph, and it doest even hesitate to run through THICK vegitation, I mean at all. As for tiller tourqe, it does help a little bit.
