Well, did anyone do any good? It was hot on Sat. Me and my brother went to Lake Bouef in Raceland. Got in the lake at daylight. Setup some decoys and waited. Then all hell broke lose. There was alot of shooting but I guess we were in the wrong spot cause I didn't see many teal. I saw a single bird, then a pair later, then a flock of 8 or so, then another pair. None within shooting range.
I guess after realizing that there weren't many teal, I started to see everyone in boats moving around and shooting on the water. I guess they were here for the galinules more than the teal. Kinda pissed me off cause we had this one pair coming in and then they just flaired out. That is when I noticed a boat aobut 400yrds to our right from us with people standing up in plain sight.
I never shot a teal and really wanted to try and get a few in my decoys, but it seems with all the boats moving around and everyone shooting nules around us, they weren't going to come in.

So did anyone else get to see and kill a few?

5 sat morning and 5 sunday morning. the same 2 dicks set up 70 yards from us both days! alot of birds sat but sun very few!

it was hit and miss up here, 4 of us limited out openin day in 45 mins with ducks everywhere and the second day we barely killed 4. They must have moved out.

Been doing good on the teal around Thibodaux. Limited out every weekend one more to go

me and a buddy of mine limited out in the PAC opening weekend and last weekend only shot one. Hunted lake beouf lsat sunday afternoon saw a small drove way off in the distance and seen alot of woodies.

For Alabama I did ok. Only limited once with a personal 4, 3 was my magic number most days. Ended up with 16 blue wings and 1 greenwing for my early season total, don't know if I'll get to go tomorrow and won't be going Sunday even if it is the last day. Got some teal in the freezer though!

been doin good n henderson which was a shocker to me. 3 on openin day 2 limits da sunday. another limit last sat and da sunday not so good. not a good idea to try and go huntin after ya been up fer 27 hrs and partyin da whole time god willing i will b outder n da am again

Got a 2-man limit again today we could have killed a ton of teal today big flocks of 50 where coming in to the decoys back at it on Sunday

21 birds during early teal. They are thick in the rice in south east Texas. I would have had another 12 if I hadn't wasted my time in trinity bay for a few days.

It was hot in FL this year. The best teal season I can remember! Large groups of BWT. Sat we had 250-300 BWT teal circling through out the morning, 250-300 Mottled ducks, 100-150 Whistling ducks, man it was something to watch. It was great to be back out in the marsh, minus the MOSQUITO'S! We pulled up to the marsh, got out of the truck, and all you could hear was a solid ZZZZZZ over the marsh. Thermacell and deet came in very handy! Now we have our Dove opener this Saturday!
