Ok so i got stuck out in some super thick stuff yesterday... when i was trying to creep my way out lifting up on the motor and triming it down i herd a loud POP! and the motor just fell to its lowest setting.

Its the "lectro tab" system on a 05 hyperdrive blanced. the trim motor works fine but i cant get the engine to stay in the up position. Can anyone shoot me a picture of the lectro tab trim system and mounting for the actuator? i cant figure out what broke

Sorry, wanted to join the 4 letter word club. Glad ya found the problem. Now ya can go to lectrotab.com and order the parts to fix it.

$150 is about right, buyin it from them. The Thompson from MB is a lil over $200 is I'm not mistaken.

As bad as it sucks, I'm bettin on no. Ya could do a bunch of lookin & callin around and maybe find a dealer with a busted one layin around somewhere. I'd hit up all the guys on the MB forum, startin with Andy (Boat Dr).

ok thanks.. im thinkn just buy a whole new trim unit... it has 5yr warrantie and prob is alot stronger than my old beat up one.

Call Lectrotab, they make trim you would buy from MB and call them they are good people they might just sale you the part. They did for me a few years ago when i had my hyper.

i called lectro tab and they had me send in the actuator to look it over for defects in the mold anyways.... i got a call from them today and there sending we a BRAND new actuator at no cost and there paying for the shipping couldnt be happier with the service i got form them! should have my rig back up and running monday.

yes! they have the best service that I have experienced in a long time. I bought one from him and the thrust bearing didn't work. I called him up and he sent me another out no questions asked. I got the new one in, put it on, and it worked fine until my dumb a$$ droped my motor while removing it from my boat for paint. I called him up and explaned the situation, I sent it back to him and he rebuilt it for like $30, and he turned it around in about 4 hours. BTW, is it just me or did Claiborne sound kinda hot?
