 SDB final chapter
Picked the boat up today and paid my share of my Lifetime Warranty. 4 new stringers, ,125 floor and new blue foam. Plasma cut holes in the rear part of the old stringers to let water drain and two new drain holes to boot.

 Re: SDB final chapter
Read the other threads.
I took the boat to a boat builder here that does custom jet boats. He welded the cross brace back when it came off the first time at like 30 hours. SDB told me several times that he was extremely knowledgeable and has very reasonable rates.
My point is about the depreciation of the warranty...not the value of the hull. If the warranty is approx. 50% at three years, the warranty is useless at 6 years. I guess the lifetime of their hulls is 6 years. My issue was that the stringers were laid wrong at the factory. It was a manufacturers defect. They sent me a check for half of the fix bill.
As for the treatment of the boat, I don't approach anywhere near the conditions that 95% of you guys do. I abuse props not boats.
Like the boat builder said, his company is called James River Jets. Jet boats designed to be run in the James River which is filled with rocks. It's the environment that his boats are designed to be run in and he stands behind his hulls 100%. For the record, the cross braces came loose after running in open water.

 Re: SDB final chapter
I see he's been on the forum lately but no response here. I still laugh thinking about his rants on being the boat building guru. Trying to lead folks to believe HE made the bestest hulls out there while trashing others. Showing pics of his hulls, shop and equipment. Then the truth comes out that he doesn't even build his own hulls.

 Re: SDB final chapter
Ran the boat about 2 hours today trying to catch a crappie or ten. W-I-N-D (we don't even say that word this time of year) was blowing about eleventy hunnert miles an hour. Whitecaps and such. Boat ran totally different. It was like being in a different rig. In the old boat, gear bounced around like it was on a trampoline. You could feel every ripple in your teeth. Now, it's like a dozer. Night and friggin day. Unreal the difference it made.

 Re: SDB final chapter
I see Markethunter is trying to sell a dual rig in the classifieds. It looks like his personal rig. I wonder if he took any more pride in his own boat than he did in the boats he sold others?
