Post In need of a 36 pd prop.. which one??
I have a stock 36 on a 17x44pd boat, I have 152hrs on the factory prop that came on it. I was in some mud the other day and noticed that the push isn't there. I have tried to look through the reviews to look at the pros and cons of going with another company's prop. I need some input. I do normally hunt 3ppl.

It's probably time for a new one, measure it from point to point and see how much smaller it is, if you've lost a half inch or so, then you need a new one. I can't tell you that any aftermarket is better than the stock one, don't run a PD.

Stock one is probably your best bet, and best price for sure. What other company are you looking at? Unless you are looking at custom props, you don't really have any other options.

Ok. He builds a good prop. You can call and talk to him and see what he thinks.

For what its worth, I believe you can buy 2 pd props for bout the same price as one of the props from hopkins. PD put a lot of thought into designing the props for your 36. Its def a good prop for their motors.

Hopkins is a great choice. I think that the hopkins prop is great. I run it on my stage 3 prodrive, only complaint is not enough speed. More than enough carrying load. Had no problem 3 guys 8 dozen decoys ammo bags guns still crankin 26 mph

Anyone got any suggestions on which Hopkins prop or if it will outperform a PD prop? This is on a stock motor.

Hopkins is $250 it will last longer in the sand.
I have him rework my old stock props and get another season out of them. They will not last as long as the new one but it still runs good for the season.

I would not recommend the Cleaver for the PD. I tried this last year. The standard one he sent to me I gained 300-400 RPM and I lost 2 mph. I sent it back and he added some pitch and i picked up the 2 plus 1-2 over stock, but I was still running 400 RPM 300-400 RPM'S higher than my stock at the time. I sent it back, and he added a chit load of cup and some pitch to it, and it was garbage. I dropped 5 mph, and was running at 400 RPM's below stock. I gave up after that. I still have it. I keep meaning to send it back to him but frankly I just decided with all things considered the stock PD prop had the best blend of hole shot, top end, and RPM range. I bought a new PD prop and the cleaver is sitting IN my garage. I still need to send it back though so at least I have a usable back up.

Obviously KP and Peck put a lot of work in their design.
