 timber camo
I would like to know what camo you guys use for hunting in timber. I don't hunt marsh a whole lot any more so I am trying to find something, I like the buck brush and think it would do well but I want something that will look good with the boat and cover and blend in. Help me out post some pics if you want. I need ideas fast gonna start next week on the blind

 Re: timber camo
Anything dark black/brown and 3d is good for me, i really would like to get buckbrush pattern die cut camo and then get some frayed black burlap and dark killerweed and cover 95% of the base die cut with it then put limbs and twigs on top of that and pull up in some thick ass brush. All this on a low profile blind should be invisible in the shadows.

 Re: timber camo
I dunno about the die cut. I don't know if it would hold up but in mpw catalog the have they avery quick set blind with the camo netting might have to just make that work but the $279.99 kinda steep

I didnt know leprechauns bowhunted Avery's buckbrush looks pretty good, so does bottomland. I'd get some burlap and go to town with some spraypaint.

 Re: timber camo
Back on topic. Nat Gear looks really good in the timber. #28 dead grass green base from lockstockbarrel and krylon dark brown for the stencil work.

 Re: timber camo
Looks good, I think NatGear camo is probably the best all around camo.
BUT, there is a camo out there, I cant remember the name. It's made for bow hunters up in a tree. It's like skyline or something, it has alot of white in it to break up the outline. I think that for timber a natgear boat with big blocks of water brown to break up the outline would be ideal. I normaly just lean up against a tree when I hunt timber.

 Re: timber camo
Natgear or muddy water brown is best for timber.

 Re: timber camo
I took a 1/2 doz different camo patterns into the flooded timber, buck brush, cut grass and cypress. Hung them up and backed off 50-100 yards to see what they looked like. Nat Gear blends in the best for a one camo design IMO. Only bad thing is its getting hard to find gear in the Nat Gear pattern. Avery did pattern all their gear in it in the past but have discontinued it. I think for their Buck Brush pattern. I havent seen the BB in person. But it does look good and may be worth looking into.
