Post Just doing some research
I think I know what the answer is gonna be, but for my 35GDSD, whats gonna be my biggest advantage/disadvantage between a 2042, and a 1842 besides the obvious 24" and 2'

WTF you need a 20ft boat for? I use mine for hunting. If I had a 20ft rig I would still be in the swamp stuck!

I dunno....... If you had reverse I would say 20' for sure... but not having reverse, having to turn the boat around, theres some places where we run that 2' is going to keep you from spinning the boat.

Also... are you keeping your trailer or getting a new one? That may influence you to go 18' instead of 20'

I run an 1846 GTB in the wax and it gets the job done with no problems. I can see where a 20' boat would have an advantage because of all the chit you have to bring down there, especially when camping, but man that is a hard boat to hide. Go with your gut and enjoy your new boat. I would run the 18'.

i would go with a 2046 flat. If you think about it 2ft is not that much more to hide.

like i said if your gonna be a 2 man operation 18x42, any more i say 20x42,

if i had a built in tank i might think differently about my 18x42, but idk 20 would still be nice

but 20x42 single taper imo
