Re: New dog---Briley
Just get him force fetched early. After he has lost all his puppy teeth. If you have never forced a dog send it to a trainer to do it. This is the foundation to a good hunting buddy.

Re: New dog---Briley
UPDATE: Briley is 4.5 months old now and doing very well, he is sitting, staying, swimming and doing double retrieves and somewhat handsignals. i am very very pleased on his learning and his "want to" to learn. here is a few updated pics of the pup. i will have to say i am very glad i didnt send him off for training, i feel like its just our time when we are out there and gets me away from the ole lady. lol. i usually work with him about 1.5 hours a day, rather its playing or really working him. yes i am proud of him.

Good lookn pup.
don't get to carried away with the progress......
If you think he has a concept down stay on it another week. When he looses his teeth get him forced fast and you will realy like what you got.
