having an issue with my 25hp kohler...motor starts and idles fine. Runs fine through powering the motor up but as soon as i let off, it chokes out and dies. then it starts right up first turn of the key. carb is new and clean, plugs are new, new filters all around, and fresh fuel. Could this be a timing issue? not sure where to start.

I have a 25 to an it does the same thing every now then. It has done that ever since i bought it. I just thought that's how it runs.

really wierd, i let it fully warm up before i give it any throttle and it still does this too...its kind of new...it didn't always act like this

Buddy of mine has a 40 horse Kohler MB. It does stupid shit just like this. They're good motors and will last a long time. They're just finicky and cold blooded as hell!

yeah didn't they cancel that 40 kohler MB?
